Los Alamos Researchers Create 'Map of Science'

Technology Demo of a Device Leading to a Profound Change in Human-Environment Interaction
This demonstration of a wearable device with a projector that will pave the way for augmented cognition and a step-change in the interaction with our environment. This is similar to the interfaces displayed in the film "Minority Report" - but goes beyond it. The demonstration was given at TED. The technology is from Pattie Maes' lab at MIT, spearheaded by Pranav Mistry.

Stephen Wolfram's Presentation of A New Kind of Science at MIT
Stephen Wolfram is the creator of Mathematica. He also may just have revolutionized Internet search. His official website can be found here. Wolfram Alpha is the new search technology which will be released in May 2009. You can find more information on it here. The following video is a lecture / presentation he gave at MIT in 2003 on his A New Kind of Science (NKS). If you haven't seen this, it is excellent. It is about simple rule automata, but expanding automata to... well - I'll let him explain it.
